1. Data controller
The controller of the personal data collected on this website is Família Godes / hereus d'Emili Godes. You can contact the rights holder through the contact form.
2. What data we process and why
Contact form
When you use the contact form, we process your name, email address and the content of your message solely to respond to your enquiry, contribution or correction request. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you provide by ticking the acceptance box before sending the form. Messages are sent through the email provider Resend and received in the rights holder’s inbox.
Usage statistics
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 (loaded via Google Tag Manager) collects statistical data about browsing (pages viewed, device, approximate country, source of visit) in order to understand how the website is used and improve it. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through ‘Cookie preferences’ in the footer. Without your consent, these cookies are not loaded. Details are available in the cookie policy.
Technical data
The website hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) automatically records technical connection data (IP address, date, requested page) for security and service operation purposes, acting as a data processor. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated message submissions.
3. Retention
Messages received through the form are retained for as long as necessary to deal with the enquiry and, if the contribution is incorporated into the research, for as long as the project continues. Google Analytics statistical data are retained according to the tool’s configuration (14 months).
4. Recipients
Data are not disclosed to third parties except to the technology providers required to deliver the service (Cloudflare, Resend, Google), which act as data processors. Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area with the safeguards provided for under the GDPR (standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions).
5. Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability, as well as withdraw consent, by contacting the rights holder through the contact form. If you believe the processing does not comply with the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es).
6. Data relating to people identified in photographs
The website publishes historical photographs in which people may be identified by name, for historical and documentary research purposes. If you are one of these people or a family member and would like an identification to be corrected or removed, you can request this through the contact form.
